The State Dept. Office of Medical Services has decided that I won’t be cleared to return to Jerusalem and will be assigned to somewhere the DC area. I’m not especially happy about it, but I really don’t get much say in it.
Strengthening of my leg has been complicated by sciatica from an L4-L5 disk problem, and they feel recovery will be slow enough to not have me return overseas in the near future. |

Just to let people not on Facebook know, I'm now out of the hospital and the State Dept. has moved me to a hotel where I get outpatient therapy. I see the surgeon again next week to decide what's next.

Back on May 8th, I was hit by a car while crossing the street. I broke my right leg in several places below the knee, cracked my pelvis and coccyx. I also totaled the car that hit me.
I had surgery on my leg in Jerusalem; a "nail" was inserted in my leg and after a week was transferred to DC, where I'm now doing rehab.
That's about it.
